ARNOLD SIMON, CHAIRMAN

Arnold Simon has been a global leader in the apparel industry for more than 35 years. Following this, he has focused on funding innovative technologies in agricultural biosciences and his philanthropic work for food security. As the Chairman of KGS Agro Group, he has spearheaded the commercialization and global licensing of KGS Technology. He was previously the principal behind the success of Calvin Klein Jeanswear, and led the formation of Designer License Holdings. Mr. Simon has served on the Board of Trustees of NYU Hospital and the Clinton Library Foundation.

EUGENE KREMENER, CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Currently the Chief Marketing Officer at KGS Agro Group LLC., Mr. Kremener is a technical agricultural specialist with vast experience in agricultural science, crop inputs, farm evaluation and technical crop applications. Prior to KGS, he led technical and emerging projects for Newpark Development in Canada.

JANET E. HAWKES, Ph.D., SCIENTIFIC ADVISOR

Hawkes serves as a Scientific Advisor to KGS Agro Group LLC and has served as Chief Science Officer or Technical Officer to several companies, and presently consults with governments, companies, and NGOs on a variety of sustainable agriculture and environmental projects. Hawkes was Managing Director of an advisory firm for sustainable food and agriculture production, environmental reclamation, agroforestry, and bioenergy projects.

Dr. Marco Baez- Advisor

Dr. Marco A. Baez holds a B.S. degree in Biochemical Engineering and an MBA from Monterrey Tech, He was one of two recipients of the International 3H award from the Rotary International-The Rotary Foundation (Evanston, IL) allowing him to earn a MSc. degree in Medical Biochemistry & Nutrition from the University of London, England, and a Ph.D. from King’s College London, University of London, England focused on advanced biochemistry, bioengineering and industrial enzymology. He was also the recipient of the American States Organization United Nations Award (Washington, D.C.) to conduct postdoctoral work at prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT. While at MIT Dr. Baez-Vasquez worked in the design of advanced molecular biocatalysts tools using Enzyme Crystals, applying them into chirotechnology of fine chemicals, asymmetric synthesis of biotherapeutic intermediates, “green chemistry” in combination with advanced industrial microbiology, molecular genetics, engineering fermentation technology processes and the use of improved recombinant strains for the production of advanced biofuels, biobased chemicals, specialty enzymes, nutraceuticals, secondary metabolites and microbial biotransformations of high commercial value.
