All members of the post transaction team are currently involved with KGS either in full-time roles or in advisory / consulting roles. All members have had long relations with other team members through their past work.

Rajiv own the India distributor for KGS products and has been working day to day with Arnold over the past three years. Rajiv & Peeyush have known each other for over a decade and have worked on financial transactions at Goldman Sachs and GE. Janet has been working with KGS for field & university trials for the last two years and fully understands the product and technology.


  • Vast experience in building scalable & profitable businesses, and developing successful exits either through an IPO or third-party takeover. Mr. Simon has been a global leader in the apparel industry for more than 35 years. Following this, he has focused on funding innovative technologies in agricultural biosciences and his philanthropic work for food security including testing at Clinton Foundation farms in Africa
  • Currently as the Chairman of KGS Agro Group, he has spearheaded the commercialization and global licensing of KGS Technology to make a large impact in global food production for both commercial and smallholder farmers. In addition, he has acquired exclusive worldwide distribution rights for a complete Organic Farming System to clean degraded soils and produce higher quality crops. This features natural products that are approved for organic use by USDA.
  • He was previously the principal behind the success of Calvin Klein Jeanswear, and led the formation of Designer License Holdings. He acquired the license to Manufacture Calvin Klein Jeanswear/Sportswear in 1994. Under his direction, Calvin Klein’s net revenues grew from $59 million to $350 million during its first year post acquisition. In 1996, he led a highly successful, 17 times oversubscribed IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Simon sold approximately 25%, retaining 26% of outstanding shares. In 1997, Designer Holdings was acquired by Warnaco, Inc. Calvin Klein sales and licensing revenues, were $680 million at the time
  • In 1999, purchased the XOXO trademark for $20 million and sold it later in 2003 for $43 million after growing the business from $70 million to $110 million in annual revenue. Also acquired the worldwide rights to license the Baby Phat trademark in 1999, which was later sold for $7.5 million in 2003
  • Owns Simon Properties, LLC which has investments in real estate and private placement transactions including Sea Marshall Rescue (an electronic sea rescue device) and Pre Cash phone cards
  • Served on the Board of Trustees of NYU Hospital and the Clinton Library Foundation. Donated $2.5 million for the Child Study Center at NYU Medical for the Arnold Simon Family Foundation Professorship


  • Over two decades of experience in managing complex projects and new business initiatives. Currently a member of the KGS Executive Board, will be joining KGS on a full-time basis as CEO post transaction. He has been actively involved over the past three years with KGS in steering global strategy and developing corporate partnerships. He has collaborated with research universities and large private sector companies across India for successful scientific studies of KGS technology
  • Previously was Head of Corporate Development globally at D.E. Shaw, a US$ 30 billion hedge fund, where he led the formation of the firm’s presence in the Middle East and North Africa, formed a joint venture to enter the Saudi Arabian market, led the development of a US $1.5 billion global macro hedge fund, and led a team responsible for financial structuring and business development of a US$ 150 million JV with India’s Reliance Industries Limited
  • Formerly Global Strategist at GE Commercial Finance; mergers and acquisitions investment banker at Lazard Frères and Goldman Sachs completing over US$ 22 billion of transactions
  • Strong operating and engineering management experience. He previously managed the industrial material handling division of NTB (India). Developed regional distributors and led industrial marketing. Executed turnkey customized automation and process flow improvement projects for large FMCG businesses in India including Hindustan Lever, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, and Dynamix Dairy
  • Studied Industrial Engineering and Finance at Stanford University (USA) and graduated with Honors. First Undergraduate accepted to take courses at Stanford Law School and to complete the finance curriculum at Stanford Business School. University of Florida Certificate in Post-Harvest Farming, North Carolina State University Certificate in International Poultry Production and Certificate in Feed Manufacturing
  • Serving on the Leadership Team of Stanford University in India; Board of Trustees for the American School of Bombay. Working closely with global NGOs including The Jack Brewer Foundation


  • Janet E. Hawkes, PhD has served as Consulting Scientist, or Technical Advisor for a number of companies working to address environmental and food systems issues, and/or to develop and commercialize sustainable agricultural practices at multiple scales
  • Hawkes presently consults with companies, countries, and NGOs on sustainable agriculture and environmental issues in the US, and internationally
  • Recently she worked on sustainable food and agriculture production, greening, and bioenergy projects as Managing Director of an advisory firm
  • Hawkes taught, conducted research, and directed agriculture and environmental programs at Cornell University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the University of the South Pacific. She was Executive Director of an environmental and agricultural education center, where visitors experienced nature and farming first-hand
  • She served on Advisory Boards for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, USDA, US Department of Energy, American Council on Renewable Energy, and as a Director for Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture
  • Has a Doctorate, Masters degree and teaching certification in Agriculture and Science Education, and Bachelors of Science, all from Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Hawkes has farmed and gardened organically her entire life


  • Currently the Chief Technical Officer at KGS Agro Group LLC. Mr. Kremener is a technical agricultural specialist with vast experience in agricultural science, crop inputs, farm evaluation and technical crop applications. He is accomplished in all areas of farming and field testing. He has performed crop testing in various countries and hundreds of farms around the world including leading technical evaluations in many countries of Latin America, Europe and Asia
  • Prior to KGS, led technical and emerging projects for Newpark Development in Canada. He initiated, negotiated and consummated agreement and deal arrangements for the company with regards to agriculture equipment with Mathew Ferguson, Versatile Tractors, Great Plains, and the purchasing of Salford. He worked in the manufacturing and production of cultivators, seeders, and farming equipment for the company. He specialized in farm equipment , evaluation, and various diverse technical analysis for the company including taking products from prototype to a finished commercial product
  • Previously was engaged in entrepreneurial businesses and served in the Israeli Army from 1975 to 1978 and immigrated to Canada in 1987
  • Fluent in 3-languages and is married and resides in Canada
